Nigeria Police assure partnership with YEGO ahead of the 2027 elections

The Nigeria Police Force has assured the Youth Electoral Guards Observers (YEGO) of its partnership ahead of the 2027 General Elections.

The assurance forms part of YEGO's engagement with security institutions as it builds a coordinated national framework for peaceful participation, citizen vigilance and the prevention of electoral violence.

YEGO works within applicable laws, electoral regulations and recognised observer standards, and respects the independent mandates of INEC, security institutions and other public authorities.
