YEGO commends INEC's 100-day readiness and unveils its early warning mechanism

Speaking at INEC's 100 days to the 2027 election world press conference in Abuja on 6 October, YEGO set out the Early Warning and Rapid Response Mechanism.

The YEGO team joined the 100 days to the 2027 election world press conference organised by the Independent National Electoral Commission in Abuja on 6 October.

At the conference, YEGO commended INEC's readiness preparations and unveiled its Early Warning and Rapid Response Mechanism (ERARM), the structure through which credible electoral risks are identified, verified and escalated to the appropriate authorities.

ERARM is powered by ERART, the digital reporting and incident-management tool that enables Electoral Guards and coordinators to submit, document, verify and track reports.

YEGO maintains that preventing electoral violence requires more than monitoring events on election day. It requires sustained grassroots engagement, timely information sharing, credible incident verification and effective collaboration among citizens, civil society organisations and relevant authorities.
